Hey, I’m Steve Comisar—actor, reformed con man, crime educator, and podcast host.

I got my start in Hollywood as a kid, booking commercials and TV gigs. You might recognize me from The Seduction of Gina (1984), Sister Dearest, or playing Walter in Fists of Iron (1995)

In the ‘90s, however, I flipped the script. Charm became my weapon—I conned my way into investors’ wallets to the tune of nearly $80 million, all spent on fast cars, faster women, and high-stakes gambling. I earned a spot among the FBI’s “top ten” con men
.

It was an expensive lesson—but one I learned hard. After a stretch in Club‑Fed, I rebranded myself as Brett Champion, wrote America’s Guide to Fraud Prevention, and hit the talk‑show circuit—Dateline NBC, The View, CBS specials—showcasing how the con works and, more importantly, how to spot it .

I also co‑starred in the action thriller Tough Luck (2003), which has a sequel slated for early 2024—and yes, I’ll be back in the mix

Released in 2018, I’m now laser‑focused on redemption through action, not words. I host the Spotify podcast Scam Junkie, dissecting scams, fraud tactics, and how to steer clear . I travel, volunteering, educating law enforcement agencies from the FBI and CIA to Secret Service via my documentary Making Crime Pay

Beyond shows and stages, giving back is everything. I’ve sent VIP families to The Lion King, handed out Starbucks gift cards to LA’s homeless, and donated lavish theatre nights—all ways to reconnect with my roots and extend genuine kindness
